About

Destination Known

To tell you that I knew that I wanted to be a photographer early on in my life wouldn’t be entirely truthful. Honestly, I sort of fell into this whole photography thing by accident. I certainly didn’t wake up one morning and said “A-HA! That’s it, I want to be a photographer!”. Everyday though, it seems like I fall even further into it and if I look back on my life there does seem to be traceable steps on how I got on this crazy ROAD.

So where did my journey take me? Well simple, my first trip took me to London, shock I know, but it was the best way to learn english language, while exploring the dark streets of an old city. I guess that, this destination gave me a new perspective, so I packed my backpack and tried to understand these new views by spending one month in Ethiopia. Now this was a heart melting trip, I did it all, from voluntary work to sightseeing. It was fantastic and so it continued. Than there was Egypt... The impression this country made on me is shown in some of my work, the simplicity and geometric perfection however, guides me in every day life. I was given the the opportunity to visit many of the counties in Europe, but that was not enough so I “set sails” left and right to Florida, Mexico, Canary Islands to Tunis, Sri Lanka, Thailand. This love I feel for traveling, was magnified while I visited Faculty of Tourism Studies, the places I saw in books were beautiful, but I wanted to present them in a different light, so I went and explored, learning about new cultures, odd ways of life and spiritually embracing my passion for photography.

I have visited many interesting places so far, yet the list is still far from done, but now my companion is my Nikon D810, best camera I have ever owned the core of my future income and lets be honest a perfect tool that stops time and captures the world as I see it! Books, are where I’ve learned things about the photography world that no school could even come close to teaching and I’m very happy to say that I love the path that I’m on and I’m excited to see what’s up ahead.
